We bought a House!

This past month has been such a whirlwind of emotions mostly happy, but also lots of stress on top of that! I am now 14 weeks pregnant and have just been very tired, all I want to do and have been doing is napping and throwing up, I have not had morning sickness but rather night sickness, after dinner... not fun but I guess better than first thing in the morning.

Before we even found out we were pregnant we were ready to start the process of buying a home, we tried back in 2014 and depleted our savings with making offers going through inspection and then just nothing working in our favor, so we felt with a baby coming it was more than time to start the process again!

We first began with a completely new realtor, we loved our loan officer that we used previously so they actually recommended us to someone who we went with and the process went semi- smoothly, as smoothly as house buying can be right?

We set our budget and then had our realtor send us houses daily that fit in that budget and we would look at the ones that appealed to us, it only took about four houses before we looked at the one we ended up buying, the same day we looked at the house we are in, we looked at another one and it was a lot bigger but needed a lot of work and the foundation and everything of that house was just really off the ceilings were super low, and my husband is 6'1'' so that wasn't going to work, so we went back to the previous house again just me and my husband to look it over and decided to call the relator and make an offer.

After going through some hoops, getting through inspections, and pest etc... everything worked out right in time before the school year starting as my husband and I both work at schools, and having to try to deal with paperwork and such and working during the day was going to be very difficult, we literally moved in less than a week before school was starting August 12th, 2016 we got the keys!

We look forward to making some changes, the whole front and back yard are completely overgrown so that needs to be taken care of, but the inside is all good to go maybe a few updates as time and money allow, excited to paint and decorate!

We are having a Baby!

We found out early June that we are expecting a baby in mid February, 2017 we were so excited but wanted to wait to share the news until we have gone to a few doctor appointments and made sure everything was looking good. We finally decided after four years of marriage we were ready to start a family and began trying and that didn't take long and well we are excited to share that we are pregnant with a little baby, and can't wait to meet him/her in February, 2017!

As of today, July 20th, 2016 we are 10 weeks pregnant and just couldn't wait any longer to share the news we are so excited and nervous of course of how this is going to completely change our lives, but can't wait!

Here are a few pictures that we did with a friend to announce on social media that we were pregnant to our friends, and family who are further away, with our parents we got cute bibs made that said "Your Going to be a Grandpa/ Grandma" and put those in a box with tissue paper and watched them open it up!

We are huge San Francisco Giants fans, so we had to add something in to our announcement photos that included that, my husband ordered us jerseys for a game we would be attending and surprised me with ordering a baby jersey! So Cute!

Desk Organization

I seriously can't believe it has been since December since I have posted anything?!?! Where does the time go? I was stunned when I looked at my blog and saw a Christmas post on the front, I'm not going to bore you with the reasons why I have not been here, just the usually been busy with other priorities! I keep trying to make goals with this blog, to post on certain days, or every other day, 3 times a week, etc.... It never seems to work out so I am just stating now I will try to post at least once a week, it can be any day. Now that it is summer I feel I can balance working full time and blogging once a week. I have a lot of fun posts coming!

Anyways to get on with the business of today which is my desk organization. I love to have a space that makes me happy I mean who doesn't? I recently cleared my whole desk area and took things that I already had around my house and added them to my desk space to just make it more fun.

Firstly I love this desk I scored at a thrift shop for only $50, it was a dark wooden color when I got it, and I had really been wanting a nice white desk, so I just bought some paint, and painted it. I just love the style, and especially love the big drawer in the middle to house things.

Everything that I have decorated my desk with were items that I already owned and got for very inexpensive prices! I am obsessed with owls right now and have been for awhile, on my bookcase in our living room I have a few owl décor pieces on there, I had this one down there as well but thought it would look cute on my desk, and it does! The owl I bought from Michaels probably over a year ago, but they also have cute items like this in there home section. I also have a silver candle holder with a vanilla candle which are from Ikea. Then I like to keep my planner on my desk when it's not in my purse, for when I need to right dates down and such.

The of course we have my computer, I remember way back in the day when I was a little girl desk top computers were the thing, then everyone got laptops including myself, and then when I saw these new desktop computers I was all over it, I love that it is an all-in-one, so there is no big bulky tower and monitor, its very sleek, and I love it. I still have my laptop for easy accessibility. I also just have a wireless keyboard and mouse because the one's that came with it were awful and had cords. I hate cords! On the right side of my desk I keep a mason jar candle from Bath & Body works, I believe this one is in frosted cupcake. I also have a very old picture of my kitty when we first got him, he was so tiny, and finally some fake flowers I picked up from the dollar store, in a white case I got from Goodwill.

The last touch which brings everything together are these two mirrors above my desk that I scored from Target awhile back on clearance, they are only a little over $5 a piece! I just love them so much, and they fit perfectly with my theme!
I hope you all enjoyed this, do you have a desk organization post, send me the link I just love owing over fun desk tops!
